| Scott Wasserman, MD. Scott Michael Wasserman grew up in beautiful Allentown, Pennsylvania. He attended nearby Haverford College for his undergraduate degree before moving to Boston to complete his medical degree at Harvard Medical School. Tired of cold, dark winters, Scott came to California in 1997 to begin his internal medicine training at Stanford University Hospital…and he hasn’t left yet. Scott is currently a Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford. He recently joined the Quertermous laboratory after two years in the laboratory of Dr. James N. Topper at Millennium Pharmaceuticals (formerly COR Therapeutics) in South San Francisco. During his research years, Scott has focused his studies on the effect of biomechanical forces on endothelial gene expression. In his spare time, Scott enjoys listening to diverse types of music, running as much as possible and rooting for Pennsylvania sports teams, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Pitt Panthers.
