Peng Zhang, Ph.D.

Peng is currently working as a Bioinformatics Specialist for Aventis/GenCell-Stanford Project at Dr. Thomas Quertermous Lab at Stanford University. His duties include bioinformatics related work (programming, data searching, data analysis), Database administration, Unix system administration, and web site design and maintenance. He was awarded a BS and MS in Biology from East China Normal University in Shanghai, China. Then he spent 5 years of research at Qingdao University in China. In 1992, he came to the United States for a second school life. He got an MS degree in Nutritional Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Toxicology from University of Nevada, Reno. After graduating in 1999, he joined Centaur Pharmaceuticals, Ins. as a Research Scientist. Since 2001, he has been working for Aventis/GenCell as a Bioinformatics Specialist and joined the Aventis/GenCell-Stanford Project.

He likes to play tennis and volleyball at his spare time. He also like NBA, Football, and Baseball. But he can't play football on the beach (he fainted once).
